IFE is a trade-only event, and is not open ot the general public.  All IFE attendees must meet attendance qualifications. Companies in the industry who are not qualified to attend are invited to exhibit at the show.  Learn more below:

Qualified to Attend

The following are qualified to ATTEND the International Floriculture Expo:

If you purchase, approve, design, or merchandise products to produce, sell or enhance floral and/or foliage products in any of the areas listed below, then you are qualified to attend the International Floriculture Expo!

Mass Market Retailers

  • Supermarkets & Groceries
  • Supercenters
  • Convenience Stores
  • Craft Stores
  • Department Stores
  • Discount Stores
  • Drug Store Chains
  • Home Centers
  • Wholesale Clubs

Grocery Wholesalers

Retail Florists

Wholesale/Voluntary/Cooperative Supermarkets

Designated Buying Agents (DBAs)

  • DBAs are individuals whose advice is necessary to a Supermarket or Mass-Market Retailer in purchasing floral and foliage products for their company (or have direct contractual purchasing authority).  This includes consultants, suppliers, and others who are not exclusively employed by the Buyer's organization.  DBA's must indicate all companies in which they have buying responsibility for during their registration.
  • All DBAs are subject to approval by International Floriculture Expo Management.  Qualified Supermarkets and Mass-Market Retailers must confirm an individual and/or company as their authorized DBA prior to approval-to-attend IFE will be issued.
  • DBAs may not be owners or employees of non-exhibiting suppliers.

Wholesale Florists
Those who supply chains with 50 or less retail locations may register and attend the show - those who supply to large mass market retailers/grocery/supermarket/garden center chains may not attend, but are invited to exhibit.  See below.

Commercial Growers*
ONLY employees responsible for purchasing products for the growing, harvesting, management and maintenance of floral and foliage may attend; such as: Propagating & growing of all cut flowers, seeds & seedlings, bulb growing, nursery operation, chemical protection of plants, post-harvest storage and handling and use of preservatives.


Not Qualified to Attend/Must Exhibit

The following are not qualified to attend, though we welcome you to contact us about exhibiting at the International Floriculture Expo:

Wholesale Florists:  (Owners & Employees) who supply to large mass market retailers/grocery/supermarket/garden center chains may not attend, but are invited to exhibit.

Commercial Growers:   Sales & Marketing employees who sell the end product to the retailer directly must exhibit at the show and will not be permitted to walk the show floor.

Suppliers:   Owners and employees of importers, manufacturers, distributors, and other non-exhibiting suppliers may NOT register for or attend. You may exhibit at the show.

Registrants who apply to attend with the above information, or who are unable to provide proof of qualification to attend per the above, will not be approved to attend the show.

Attendance Policy/Proof of Identification

IFE is a trade-only event, and is not open ot the general public. All IFE attendees must be qualified to attend (see credentials above). This policy is strictly enforced.

Proof of ID and employment must be provided by all pre-registrants and onsite registrants when picking up your badge.  Even if you have been previously approved to attend, you will be required to present this before your badge is issued.

Buyers and Exhibitors may not pick up badges for multiple attendees  - each attendee or registered exhibitor must pick up their own badge and provide ID/proof as listed above.
