The International Floriculture Expo (IFE) was formerly called the Super Floral Show (SFS) until its current producers, Diversified Communications, acquired it from Gainshare Media in 2005, expanding Diversified’s portfolio of food events. Diversified produces over 100 trade shows, conferences, and publications.
Until a move to New Orleans, LA in 2014, Diversified produced the International Floriculture Expo for many years in Miami, FL. In 2015, the International Floriculture Expo partnered with the United Fresh Produce Association and was held along side the United Fresh show and FMI Connect at McCormick Place in Chicago. After a very successful two years of co-location, the 2017 edition will introduce the United FreshTEC and United FreshMKT, as well as the Global Cold Chain Expo, which focuses on the supply chain.
The International Floriculture Expo continues to attract vendors and retail buyers from the floral industry. The show features displays of fresh cut flowers, foliage/potted plants, giftware/accessories, lawn/garden, and floral-related business services. Some of the business categories that IFE attracts include: online retailers, supermarkets and supercenters, independent grocers, retail florists, designers, nurseries, and event florists.
IFE also has an educational component attached, held the day before exhibits open. The conference program includes discussions and training on the latest floral merchandising trends, pricing analysis and cost reduction, sustainability and eco-labeling, supply chain, and more. Several other events are held during the exhibition on the show floor, including design demos, trends updates, and the Iron Designer Competition.
