Update From The International Floriculture Expo

July 14, 2020 – Update

International Floriculture Expo Announces Cancellation of September 2020 Event

Plans for a virtual opportunity for buyers and suppliers as well as online events and educational content underway

MIAMI, FL—July 14, 2020 — Diversified Communications, organizer of the International Floriculture Expo today announced that due to ongoing health and safety issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become necessary to cancel the 2020 edition of the International Floriculture Expo that was re-scheduled to take place on September 15 – 17, 2020 in Miami Beach, FL, USA.

“It is with great disappointment that we have to bring you the news that we will not be able to meet in person in 2020,” said Harrison Hines, Event Manager, Diversified Communications.

Despite some re-opening measures nationally and locally, there are still far too many uncertainties about the impact that COVID-19 will have on travel and mass gatherings this September. Accordingly, it is impossible to hold a live event that would provide an experience our floral community would find valuable.

The International Floriculture Expo team will continue to reach out to customers regarding opportunities to build business and reconnect with the floral buying community for the 2021 edition.

Additionally, the organizers are well underway in the planning of a multi-dimensional virtual opportunity for the floral audience to do business with suppliers, access educational resources and connect with other industry professionals. More detail is expected in August 2020.

“We thank everyone in the industry, our vendors and partners for their continued support while navigating these difficult times,” said Hines. “We look forward to bringing the floral community back together in Miami Beach on June 8 – 10th, 2021.”

International Floriculture Expo Postponed to September 15-17, 2020 at the Miami Beach Convention Center

Event was previously postponed until August 17-19, 2020

MIAMI, FL—May 1, 2020 — The International Floriculture Expo, the largest floral B2B trade show in North America, has been rescheduled to September 15-17, 2020 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Originally scheduled for early June, owners of the event, Diversified Communications,  concluded that the magnitude of the unanticipated and ongoing public health and safety issues posed by COVID-19 made postponement to September unavoidable.

“We are making every effort to hold this show because we hear every day from our customers how much the floral industry needs it.” “Proactively moving the dates to September puts us in the best position to do that” said Event Manager, Harrison Hines

“We also want to take this opportunity to assure our customers that the International Floriculture Expo always has, and will continue to make the health of our visitors, exhibitors, partners and staff our absolute top priority as we continue to make preparations for the 2020 event.  As details are confirmed we will be sharing an outline of the measures we taking to make sure your experience at this year’s show is safe, positive, and productive.”  Said Hines

Attendees, Exhibitors and Partners can expect to receive important follow up communications from the International Floriculture Expo and its vendors with details relating to the rescheduled event in the coming weeks.

An Update From The International Floriculture Expo

Dear Floral Community,

Diversified Communications has made the very difficult decision that, due to the magnitude of the unanticipated public health and safety issues posed by the rapidly escalating COVID-19 outbreaks and contagion, we have no choice but to postpone the upcoming edition of the International Floriculture Expo, which was planned to take place on June 9-11, 2020 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, in Miami Beach, FL.

The show has now been rescheduled to August 17-19, 2020 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Please look for important follow up communications from Diversified and our vendors with details relating to the rescheduled event. To provide maximum flexibility to our customers, Diversified expects to offer registrants the choice of rolling over payments for the International Floriculture Expo Education Day and Expo Pass to the rescheduled 2020 event.

We understand that you may have further questions; if so, please continue to reach us at info@floriexpo.com. We thank you in advance for your patience as we try to respond to each of you in a timely manner.

We value the support of everyone involved in the making of this event — our vendors, the local authorities, the venue and, most of all, our partners, friends and customers in the floral industry.

We are looking forward to getting this strong community back together soon. Until then, we send heartfelt thoughts to those who are affected by COVID-19.
